“The very best !”

We stayed here while doing a 1000 mile road trip around Cuba and this casa summed up exactly what we were looking for: a taste of real Cuba with refinements thrown in. The casa has been sympathetically renovated and provides an oasis of calm to retreat to. The food, service & atmosphere were all outstanding. Carlos & Carmen were consummate hosts and Carmen even took the day off to accompany us on a highly amusing goose-chase to Sagua La Grande and Encrujiada to discover the birthplace of my great grandfather who was born in Cuba. After many wrong turns we actually found the very place where he was born (the building was no longer there however.) I'm sure Carlos would have loved to come too, but someone had to 'hold the fort'. By the end of our stay we felt they were true friends & quite seriously if they ever want to stay with us in London, there is an open invitation for them to do so.
